I’d like to share one of the few movies I could watch
on a loop
. I’m not a great fan of cinema in general
...
I grow bored very quickly... But this movie really keeps me focused, even if I know exactly what will happen in the next scene by now.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Perhaps there are better sources for this film... but I’ve found that this website always works when I want to watch Dr. Strangelove.

It’s a bold move by the Internet Archive to posting this stuff. One that will probably finally get the sued.

Hmm, interesting. I had assumed this was part of their COVID-19 library release, but I guess this is a different thing, in which case, more power to them!

When getting my BS I signed up for a 300 level “literature in film ” course that fulfilled several requirements. We watched all of Kubrick’s films and read the material they came from, looking at all the recurring motifs and underlying meaning in his films. Strangelove is one of my favorites. There’s something about the lighting and pacing that makes it stand out. Plus Peter Seller’s performance is amazing.
If you haven’t, check out Room 237. Gives a pretty good peak at all the symbolism going on in Kubrick films.

It’s been on the site for many years... At some point netflix removed it from their library (or at least, geolocked it) and I started looking for it elsewhere. I’ve seen the film some five or six times. I was slightly nervous about sharing the link but it seems like a pretty legit website and the fact that the movie has been on it for years gives me confidence on the stability of the link.
